So I clicked on this thread accidentally when I was trying to get the game thread. I was reading it and I was like WTF.

...and then a giant dragon came out of the sea and leveled Tokyo.

Hello, I'm Greg. I am 21 years old and live in Iowa City, Iowa. I have been a Twins fan all my life. I am unfortunately unable to watch the Twins on tv here unless they play the White Sox and they are blacked out for me on mlb.tv (along with five other teams) even though they arent shown locally. My favorite Twins player is Jason Kuddubel and my favorite Twins pitcher is Pat Neshek.

Hey guys, I'm Chris.

I'm a member of Strike3Forums, but I wanted to find a place dedicated solely to Minnesota sports too, and looks like I've found it.

I'm 22, from East Central Minnesota, but I currently live in Cheyenne Wyoming. The reason I'm out here is because I'm active duty Air Force, have been for almost 4 yrs now. I played ball for 3 years in high school, pitched and 2B. Not sure what else you wanna know. If you think of something, ask. I'm a pretty open person.

Hey, I'm from wisconsin but have been a twins fan most of my life..i go to the U of M now, I'd like to throw my 2 cents around as far as the twins go, but my statistical knowledge/math skills are non-existent (i'm a liberal arts major...) so, please go easy on me if I don't understand WARP2 or VORP exactly.

I just love watching them play and reserve my judgment from what I've personally seen.

(The brewers are my NL team, which I sort of have to do so my WI friends dont disown me...but a Twins/brewers WS i'm secretly cheering for the twins)

I think Morneau deserves MVP , I'm not with all the Pedroia talk.

Hopefully I can fit in on this forum, I'm not too bitter or cynical and it seems like that might work against me here

But if we can agree that we all love the Twins we should be fine
Cheers

Hey guys... I realize I'm not really "new," but I had never even noticed this thread until just now. Anyway, my name is Vicente, but I go by a nickname (of which I have many, I will spare you all). I am originally from Posadas, Argentina but now I reside in the state of Maryland. My step-brother is a big Twins fan, and he told me that I would fit in better in society if I follow sports. He is brutally honest, but he's helping me make friends.

Before this message gets too long, I will try to wrap things up. I am 17, I don't play sports but I love watching them. I enjoy the Twins, Vikings, and Gophers. Like I said my brother is a Minnesota fan and I guess he just rubbed off on me (yes I've heard that expression and I know it sounds gross). I look forward to watching and learning Twins baseball.

Rocketpig bless.

Opening day in April 2000 vs. the Devil Rays.
(Loud cheering) "Radke delivers as the 2000 season is under way. (Flash, flash, flash) There's a deep fly to left field, Jacque Jones to the wall, and this one is...gone. Gerald Williams takes a cut at Radke's first pitch as Tampa Bay goes ahead 1-0." (Let's go get a dome dog)

Pretty decent forum you have running here! I am an avid Twins fan who currently lives in Maine. This is my first post on any Twins forum, but since Maine really does not have many Twins' fans I thought I would give it a shot!
Keep looking back in hopes that something might be gaining on you.

Tell me about it. Pretty much any bar establishment you go to will try and convert you to Red Sox nation. IF you are gutsy enough to wear anything other then Red Sox garb, you will be heckled beyond belief.

Life long Cubs fan here that grew up in Eau Claire, WI. Can't stand the Brewers. The last 3 years have been the toughest for me to stay a faithful Cubs fan. I was at 2 playoff games in 07 at AZ and one at Wrigley last year. This year was just flat out frustrating to watch. I've slowly started paying more attention to the Twins over the last few years. I don't think I could ever stop loving the Cubs, but I really enjoy Twins style baseball. Sucks that they got swept, but I could see it coming. As Cubs fans always say, "Next Year."

Hey all...22 year old college student here, St. Cloud MN. Been a long time Twins fan and a pretty hardcore follower the past 3-4 seasons or so. I've been an on-again-off-again reader of these boards for a while now and decided I might as well register and start posting myself. I like these boards and I've found discussions here to be pretty knowledgeable and generally quite humorous too. Seems like a pretty good place to talk Twins.

On a side note, I don't know if this has been mentioned before but does anyone else find the image verification feature in the board registration to be insanely challenging? Seriously, it was the most difficult image verification I've ever done on a registration form. Took me 7 or so attempts, including getting locked out for a while for" spamming" the registration.

I think you can change it to actual questions. You could have it be something like "Which player wears #7 and is also known as the Baby Jesus?"

Re: New Users: Welcome to the BYTO Forums

Postby edavis0308 on Fri Dec 11, 2009 12:05 pm

I finally just opened the "Welcome" thread and realized I never posted in it as a new user about a year ago. Since nobody really ever recognizes my name when I post anything, I figured I should probably throw some information out about me. I am a 24/m living in West Des Moines, IA and work as a Chemist for an ink manufactoring company called Siegwerk. I graduated college from the University of Iowa. I usually make it up to the cities once over month or two, as my sister lives in Eagan. That's about all the information I feel like anyone will retain that even reads this about me, so we will keep it at that.

Hey all...Huge Twins fan from ND. I've been following this site for a couple months now, thought I better get an account. Now in the off chance I want to make a comment and prove just how hopelessly optimistic I am about MN sports, I can.

I thought to fit right in it was 'Season over' at every posting. ;)

As far as I can tell, I will only fit in with 50% of the members. The other half are "Season's over" doomsday'ers. So I guess you could say this site is "half full" of optimists.

Been following you guys on and off for a few years. I've silently witnessed itstimetotakeit's many blow-ups and his eventual demise (hopefully). I've watched dave and stat's infantile arguments. I've been plagued by dan's endless stream of ridiculous claims. In short, I spend way too much time on these forums and decided it might be time to post.

Sounds like you'll fit right in. Now shine my shoes, newbie.
