Moderators: The splendiferous pentarchy of doom, The Brian Peppers Legal Defense Team

I am unfortunately unable to watch the Twins on tv here unless they play the White Sox and they are blacked out for me on mlb.tv (along with five other teams) even though they arent shown locally. My favorite Twins player is Jason Kuddubel and my favorite Twins pitcher is Pat Neshek.

I'm a member of Strike3Forums, but I wanted to find a place dedicated solely to Minnesota sports too, and looks like I've found it.
I'm 22, from East Central Minnesota, but I currently live in Cheyenne Wyoming. The reason I'm out here is because I'm active duty Air Force, have been for almost 4 yrs now. I played ball for 3 years in high school, pitched and 2B. Not sure what else you wanna know. If you think of something, ask. I'm a pretty open person.

Dan is the one always wearing the helmet.

shauer wrote:Hey, I'm from wisconsin but have been a twins fan most of my life..i go to the U of M now, I'd like to throw my 2 cents around as far as the twins go, but my statistical knowledge/math skills are non-existent (i'm a liberal arts major...) so, please go easy on me if I don't understand WARP2 or VORP exactly.
I just love watching them play and reserve my judgment from what I've personally seen.
(The brewers are my NL team, which I sort of have to do so my WI friends dont disown me...but a Twins/brewers WS i'm secretly cheering for the twins)
I think Morneau deserves MVP , I'm not with all the Pedroia talk.
Hopefully I can fit in on this forum, I'm not too bitter or cynical and it seems like that might work against me here
But if we can agree that we all love the Twins we should be fine
Cheers

I got my degree there too. And isn't Warp 2 a speed in Star Trek?

We all have a soft spot for Butch Huskey, too. Welcome.butch_huskey_gone wrote:Opening day in April 2000 vs. the Devil Rays.
(Loud cheering) "Radke delivers as the 2000 season is under way. (Flash, flash, flash) There's a deep fly to left field, Jacque Jones to the wall, and this one is...gone. Gerald Williams takes a cut at Radke's first pitch as Tampa Bay goes ahead 1-0." (Let's go get a dome dog)
Glad to be here.

Doba wrote:Life long Cubs fan here that grew up in Eau Claire, WI. Can't stand the Brewers. The last 3 years have been the toughest for me to stay a faithful Cubs fan. I was at 2 playoff games in 07 at AZ and one at Wrigley last year. This year was just flat out frustrating to watch. I've slowly started paying more attention to the Twins over the last few years. I don't think I could ever stop loving the Cubs, but I really enjoy Twins style baseball. Sucks that they got swept, but I could see it coming. As Cubs fans always say, "Next Year."

I've been an on-again-off-again reader of these boards for a while now and decided I might as well register and start posting myself. I like these boards and I've found discussions here to be pretty knowledgeable and generally quite humorous too. Seems like a pretty good place to talk Twins.
On a side note, I don't know if this has been mentioned before but does anyone else find the image verification feature in the board registration to be insanely challenging? Seriously, it was the most difficult image verification I've ever done on a registration form. Took me 7 or so attempts, including getting locked out for a while for" spamming" the registration.

Kobs wrote:I already reduced the difficulty, of course, we're getting more spambot registrations.

edavis0308 wrote:I finally just opened the "Welcome" thread and realized I never posted in it as a new user about a year ago. Since nobody really ever recognizes my name when I post anything, I figured I should probably throw some information out about me. I am a 24/m living in West Des Moines, IA and work as a Chemist for an ink manufactoring company called Siegwerk. I graduated college from the University of Iowa. I usually make it up to the cities once over month or two, as my sister lives in Eagan. That's about all the information I feel like anyone will retain that even reads this about me, so we will keep it at that.

I thought to fit right in it was 'Season over' at every posting.

I've watched dave and stat's infantile arguments. I've been plagued by dan's endless stream of ridiculous claims. In short, I spend way too much time on these forums and decided it might be time to post.
