That's an old joke developed by Jewscott. He hasn't been around lately but he's one of the people who made BYTO what it is today.

My name is MindFreak, a few people on here will already know me as i'm a regular on a different MN Sports board, and thought it was time to see what else was out there after the pathetic moderating job that was done a weekend a go. Thank you to the person(s) who refered me to here, and i'm sure we'll all have a great time discussing our favorite baseball team.

This isn't my real name.

I don't believe in changing someone's name to something insulting. Not because it's mean spirited, but because it's not funny.

It's hard for me to get very upset about the Twins. I used to be a hothead and it didn't do any good.

I find rbi's,runs, batting average, wins for a pitcher, and saves to be overrated stats.

I think the Twins broadcasts needs to emphasize on-base %.

I'd like to see a player's name appear in my post instead of someone else's nickname for said player.

What are the back stories for Jerry Ryan and David Arias?

T-erry Ryan was often referred to as "Jerry Ryan" by brilliant baseball minds back on the Elysian Fields.

Arias was Ortiz's original listed last name when he first came to the U.S. to play ball.

Whats up, I've been reading this board for quite a long time but really never felt the need to contribute, as I know very little about stats, minor leaguers, or most of the (retarded) inside jokes that seem to infect every thread...BUT as the season begins and the natural pessimism and incessant analysis also emanates I will take this time to get involved, post, and maybe even learn a little bit. Thanks for having me.

Hello, I'm Greg. I am 21 years old and live in Iowa City, Iowa. I have been a Twins fan all my life. I am unfortunately unable to watch the Twins on tv here unless they play the White Sox and they are blacked out for me on mlb.tv (along with five other teams) even though they arent shown locally. My favorite Twins player is Jason Kuddubel and my favorite Twins pitcher is Pat Neshek.

Hey guys, I'm Chris.

I'm a member of Strike3Forums, but I wanted to find a place dedicated solely to Minnesota sports too, and looks like I've found it.

I'm 22, from East Central Minnesota, but I currently live in Cheyenne Wyoming. The reason I'm out here is because I'm active duty Air Force, have been for almost 4 yrs now. I played ball for 3 years in high school, pitched and 2B. Not sure what else you wanna know. If you think of something, ask. I'm a pretty open person.

Hey, I'm from wisconsin but have been a twins fan most of my life..i go to the U of M now, I'd like to throw my 2 cents around as far as the twins go, but my statistical knowledge/math skills are non-existent (i'm a liberal arts major...) so, please go easy on me if I don't understand WARP2 or VORP exactly.

I just love watching them play and reserve my judgment from what I've personally seen.

(The brewers are my NL team, which I sort of have to do so my WI friends dont disown me...but a Twins/brewers WS i'm secretly cheering for the twins)

I think Morneau deserves MVP , I'm not with all the Pedroia talk.

Hopefully I can fit in on this forum, I'm not too bitter or cynical and it seems like that might work against me here

But if we can agree that we all love the Twins we should be fine
Cheers

I got my degree there too. And isn't Warp 2 a speed in Star Trek?

I think you mean Star Wars.

Hey guys... I realize I'm not really "new," but I had never even noticed this thread until just now. Anyway, my name is Vicente, but I go by a nickname (of which I have many, I will spare you all). I am originally from Posadas, Argentina but now I reside in the state of Maryland. My step-brother is a big Twins fan, and he told me that I would fit in better in society if I follow sports. He is brutally honest, but he's helping me make friends.

Before this message gets too long, I will try to wrap things up. I am 17, I don't play sports but I love watching them. I enjoy the Twins, Vikings, and Gophers. Like I said my brother is a Minnesota fan and I guess he just rubbed off on me (yes I've heard that expression and I know it sounds gross). I look forward to watching and learning Twins baseball.

Rocketpig bless.

Is he says anything other than "Sluttese" I'll be disappointed.

Is that anything like Cantonese? Doesn't matter though it isn't American.
